Matius 2:6

2:6 ‘And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,

are in no way least among the rulers of Judah,

for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” ¹ 

Matius 8:26

8:26 But ²  he said to them, “Why are you cowardly, you people of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked ³  the winds and the sea, ⁴  and it was dead calm.

Matius 9:22

9:22 But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” ⁵  And the woman was healed ⁶  from that hour.

[8:26]  ² tn Grk “And.” Here καί (kai) has been translated as “but” to indicate the contrast present in this context.

[8:26]  ⁴ sn Who has authority over the seas and winds is discussed in the OT: Ps 104:3; 135:7; 107:23-30. When Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea he was making a statement about who he was.

[9:22]  ⁵ tn Or “has delivered you”; Grk “has saved you.” This should not be understood as an expression for full salvation in the immediate context; it refers only to the woman’s healing.
